Untitled

First Snow in Glasgow

(Picture is from my microblog)

First snow in Glasgow, during midnight on 4th December. Very suitable for my new blog outlook I just changed today.=)

It was big but not last long.

How strong will snow be during winter in Glasgow?

Blankets by Craig Thompson

Blankets

Recently I read this graphic novel by Craig Thompson. He is a really circumspective artist and he records  his life in a detailed way. You can find stories about this book on Amazon or Wiki.

He alsways spent plenty of time on his book. This one took him 3 an a half years, and his new book took about 7 years, as I know. He is a really sensitive person. He even had depression when he was working on his new book, because of loneliness and the presure from his life.

Creation is a lonly thing which you can only complete by yourself.

Rabbit by Run Wrak

Rabbit

A stop-motion animation short film by Run Wrak, in 2005.

He was inspired by some 1950′s stickers in a junk shop. The story is about human’s greed and exploring nature.

There were about 200 different stickers in this film. It took about 16 months from the start. He spent about one year for actual making animation and 4 months for pre-production. Howie B helped out with the music & all sound effects were done by Craig Butters.

Do you remember the reading books you’ve read when you was a child? The style of the animation reminds me about that, and it’s interesting, and suitable for both adults and children.

You can find more information about it in the link above.

And you can find more about him in his website: http://www.runwrake.com/

A Short Creative Animation

A Short Creative Animation

Mostly we read books from page to page, watch films from scene to scene. That’s a creative way to tell a story in animation.

(If someone knows the name and the director of this animation, please tell me and I’ll add it. Thank you.)
